Frequently asked questions

Do I need a developer to install owni.chat?
No. On WordPress, Shopify and OpenCart, installation is the plugin plus one API key — the plugin detects your project and registers your domain on its own. For custom storefronts there are React and Next.js packages that need one component.
Will the assistant know current prices and stock?
Yes. The plugins push your catalog to owni.chat the moment you save a product, rather than pulling it on a schedule, so what the assistant recommends matches what a shopper sees in the cart.
Can someone read another customer’s order?
No. An order is only revealed when the order number and the email match together, so an order number on its own is not enough.
Does adding the chat slow my store down?
The widget script loads asynchronously and never blocks your page from rendering. On Shopify it is added through a theme app embed, and the Next.js package ships a server component that adds no client JavaScript of its own.
Can leads go straight into HubSpot or Pipedrive?
Yes. Connect a HubSpot Private App token or a Pipedrive API token under Integrations. When a visitor submits a lead-capture form in a chat flow, owni.chat upserts a Contact or Person and attaches a note with the submitted fields.
What can I send to Zapier or Make?
Signed webhooks deliver lead_captured (flow forms), conversation.started, conversation.closed, and handoff.requested. Paste a Catch Hook URL under Integrations → Webhooks — no native Zapier app is required.
Can I use owni.chat on several domains?
Yes. A project allows up to ten domains, which covers staging sites, subdomains and multisite setups. The plugins register the domain they run on automatically.

Every credential you connect is encrypted at rest and only ever used server-side — tokens are never exposed to website visitors, and never shown again after you paste them.
